It started with a cappuccino in Sweden.

In 2023, at Espresso House in Lund, I ordered a cappuccino.
It wasn't bitter. It was warm, not the kind of hot that burns your tongue before you taste anything. It was sweet, smooth, and genuinely perfect. I put the cup down and thought: why doesn't coffee taste like this at home?
That question followed me through every cafe I sought out across Europe. Berlin, Amsterdam, and every stop in between. I'd find the best coffee spot in town and sit down with a cup. And every time, the same thought came back.
When I returned to Egypt, I started asking why. I got SCA certified, spent time at roasteries, and brewed hundreds of cups at home trying to crack it. Eventually I figured out that making a genuinely great cup of coffee at home comes down to four things:
01. Find really good coffee. Specialty, not just anything with a nice bag.
02. Get it fresh. Freshness is not a nice-to-have, it is half the taste.
03. Match the coffee to your drink. Not every coffee works the same way in every cup, knowing which one to pick makes a real difference.
04. Learn the basics of brewing. Just the ratio and the calibration. One small adjustment changes everything in the cup.
Four things. Easier than most people think.
So I built Lot 08. to solve exactly those four problems, for every Egyptian home brewer who wants a genuinely great cup without the cafe price, the guesswork, or the overwhelm.
The name.
Lot 08. is named after August, the peak of the Brazilian coffee harvest season, when the best lots are selected. In the coffee world, a lot is a specific batch from a single harvest. Traceable, intentional, chosen for a reason.
Every bag we ship carries that same intention. Selected, roasted, and delivered with a purpose.
Your daily lot of joy.
